Food allergies can develop at any life stage but most commonly before our pet is 1 year of age. We cannot cure a food allergy, but it can be managed successfully by putting our pet on an exclusion diet and avoiding the foods they are allergic to.

This is Missy, one of our patients at StreetVet Lincoln. @Purina kindly provide Missy with special hypoallergenic dog food for her condition, which she's responding well to.

So the drawathon is over, 100 pet portraits have b So the drawathon is over, 100 pet portraits have been produced (getting more rubbish as the hours went on, who knew that was possible?!) and Hercule has had a much deserved sleep.

The total raised for StreetVet and @turningtidesorg was an amazing £12,379. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and shared your whacky and wonderful pets! 🐾

A total of £7000 of this has been donated to StreetVet, bringing the current total Hercule has raised for us to a whopping £27,366 (of a £29,999 target) since the start of this crazy partnership in November 2021.

@portraitsbyhercule, thank you so much for everything you do, it's amazing how you have harnessed such support through making so many people smile! 💕
🩺Easy access to veterinary support is important 🩺Easy access to veterinary support is important for all pet owners.

Each of our Accredited Hostels has access to a telemedicine platform which allows video consults with a vet for any pet owning residents 🐾

This allows urgent advice and triage when our owners need it most.

👏Thank you to PawSquad for providing this service for StreetVet Accredited Hostels

16 months after life-giving surgery, the much love 16 months after life-giving surgery, the much loved Plymouth patient Rocco finally passed away in the arms of his owner bathed in sunshine and love 💞.

Rocco was one of our first patients here in Plymouth and was our first emergency after he ran onto a stick while playing in the park where he lived at the time. Full of character, Rocco was a special boy and we will miss him very much.

With thanks to Karen and Sian from The House Vet for their care and kindness at the end of Rocco's life and a huge thank you to the members of the Plymouth team who have cared for this little chap so lovingly especially over the past few months 💕
