StreetVet Glasgow first hit the streets in April 2019 and continues to go from strength to strength. Working alongside Trusty Paws (run by Glasgow University Vet Students) we provide full veterinary care to the homeless animals.  The veterinary community in Glasgow has responded strongly to both supporting and volunteering for Street Vet.

We are based at a soup kitchen in the centre of Glasgow. We are there every single week and they are great supporters of our cause. They are vital in the smooth running of our outreach, both on the walk-about route in Glasgow’s city centre as well as allowing us to be part of the soup kitchen.

We have the strong support of PDSA Glasgow (our registered premises), Vets Now Emergency Hospital & the Dog’s Trust who all offer support in any way they can.

The city of Glasgow has really got behind us! The support and community spirit have been inspiring and encouraging whilst setting up StreetVet. The generosity of the public and StreetVet’s supporters has been essential to our success and we could not have achieved all that we have without the generous donations through our Amazon Wish list, so THANK YOU!

We would also like to thank Jade Statt (the co-founder of the first StreetVet in London) and the StreetVet network across the UK for all their help and support during the initial stages of our setup in Glasgow-we could not have done it without you!

Our biggest challenge moving forward is trying to encourage local hostels to accept our homeless pets and provide shelter for both homeless owners and their companions.

Support us locally

If you would like to support this StreetVet team specifically, please take a look at our Amazon wishlist, which we update with items our clients need to secure the everyday needs of their pets.

Volunteer with us

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with StreetVet. Our Volunteer recruitment is currently on hold whilst we update our systems. Please check back in a few weeks for more information.
