I joined StreetVet in 2020 tasked with the overall responsibility for building a robust infrastructure and delivering StreetVet's vision, mission and values. I've also been a volunteer at my local StreetVet outreach in Cornwall since January 2019.
Prior to this, I qualified as an RVN back in 1999 and worked in general practice for a few years before deciding to experience other industries. I worked my way up to senior international operational positions at several leading cybersecurity companies. These roles took me all over the globe.
I'm a keen environmentalist, I can often be found litter picking or beach cleaning. I obsess over the health of the hedgehogs in my garden and feed the garden birds a better diet than I give myself. However, dogs are my greatest love and I will always have one by my side.

I qualified as a vet from Glasgow Vet School in 2002 and have worked in small animal practice since graduating. The concept of StreetVet for me was born from a chance to encounter with a homeless gentleman and his dog in 2016 and talking to him about his unconditional love for his dog and his fears of losing her. Having recently diagnosed my own dog Oakley with cancer, his worries resonated with me and I felt frustrated that I couldn't use my veterinary skills to help them and walked away determined to change that.
It was no coincidence that my StreetVet journey began in October 2016 and I lost Oakley in September the same year. StreetVet helped me keep focus through my grief and create a platform where the power of the human-animal bond could by truly celebrated.
Outside of StreetVetting and being a vet in practice, I relish spending time with friends and family, taking my dogs to the beach, going to the gym, and being ignored by my cat.

I’ve been a follower and supporter of StreetVet for a few years and amazed by the dedication and commitment of all volunteers. To be selected as StreetVet’s first Head of Marketing, working with a team who truly understands the importance and significance of protecting the human-animal bond is a real privilege.
My marketing skills have been honed over a good few years, across many business sectors, from financial services to publishing, health, and fitness. Now’s the time to make the magic happen at StreetVet.
I’ve grown up with animals around me and owned dogs from a Jack Russel to a Great Dane. My husband and I are now proud dog parents to Libby Lou, a rescue who has gone from street dog to pampered princess. A pet’s love is unconditional and I truly understand the unbreakable bond between owner and pet. I can’t imagine life without a dog by my side.

I was delighted to join the StreetVet team in 2021 to develop and promote our Accredited Hostel Scheme. The scheme continues to go from strength to strength and I’m excited to see it flourish, bringing about a positive change in temporary accommodation for those with pets.
My background is in the animal welfare and veterinary sector, both in frontline and operational roles with the RSPCA, Blue Cross and more recently IVC Evidensia.
Outside of work my Bear-coated Shar Pei, Bear (original name I know!) and my Merens horse Harry keep me busy, according to them there’s no such thing as too much mud! To relax I enjoy soaking up the beautiful countryside of Somerset, running in charity events, and art.
I love being part of StreetVet as its values align with my own, and our collective achievements really can change peoples lives and those of their pets forever.

I joined StreetVet in 2024, with experience working within the education and charity sector and a recent master’s degree in marketing, communications, and branding, I discovered that using my knowledge and skills to benefit others and animals was what made me happy.
I have two rescues of my own, a Jack Russell who hasn’t had the best start to life and a Border Collie who needed some extra attention and more exercise than she was getting. The human-animal bond is extremely important to me, and I love my two energetic, playful and loving girls, I fully understand and appreciate that your pets give you a reason to live.
I truly believe that everyone can and should demonstrate a little kindness to one another and recognise that everyone needs help sometimes. I am proud to not only be an employee of StreetVet but a proud supporter of their incredible mission, values, and hardworking team.

I was delighted to join StreetVet in November 2022. Previous to this role, I have worked for over ten years in various administrative and operational roles – most recently as a PA at a land-based further education college, providing courses in areas such as veterinary nursing, animal welfare, equine and conservation. Having recently lost Toby, my own dog and best friend, I am passionate about StreetVet’s accredited hostel scheme and the importance of keeping people and their pets together.
I am lucky to live by the sea in Devon and in my spare time you can often find me beach cleaning or dog walking on Dartmoor. I also have a cat, Nala, who of course, rules the roost!
I am so proud to be part of the StreetVet team and I am excited to be part of the charity’s incredible work, ethos and future developments.

I first joined StreetVet in October 2020 as a central support volunteer, helping to onboard potential new volunteers. In December 2021, I joined the Operations Team.
I initially started my career in fashion buying before realising I wanted to find a way to give back, so I started volunteering at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home every weekend. This then led to me working as a Dog Carer at Wood Green: The Animals Charity. Whilst there I fostered a terrier cross, Max, that had just had a hip operation and he hasn’t left my side since – classic foster fail!
I’m really enjoying watching StreetVet grow and being a part of the such a great team.

I started volunteering with StreetVet in 2018. In 2019 I moved to Cornwall and became more involved by taking on the Team Lead role for StreetVet Cornwall. I realized how much work is required to support the volunteer force and create structure to allow the charity to grow and develop.
I’m an RVN. After qualifying I worked at the Royal Veterinary College QMHA for 12 years, working in all disciplines until I found my passion in Emergency & Critical Care. I am pleased to be able to use my clinical knowledge and experience, alongside logistics and teamwork, to ensure that those eligible for support receive prompt triage and direction to appropriate services for treatment. I am actively involved in volunteering and run one of the five busy outreaches in Cornwall.
In my spare time I can be found exploring the wilds of Devon & Cornwall with my semi-feral Patterdale and my trusty steed, Rocket.

I was incredibly pleased to be able to join the StreetVet team Sept 2022 as a Clinical case co-ordinator. Previously, I was a veterinary nurse in the British Army and completed 15 years’ service with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. I am immensely proud to have worked with the most incredible military animals, working side by side all over the world. I qualified as an RVN in 2016 and progressed with a certificate in emergency and critical care in 2018.
I love the outdoors, especially the beach. I am a keen runner and run with my dogs whenever I can. My daughter is the one that keeps me busy, she also shares my passion for animals, and as a family, we have a great bond with our dogs. I am so proud to take on this new role as a veterinary nurse and be a part of the StreetVet team.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 2003 and have mainly worked in small animal, first opinion private practice. I have a strong interest on the importance of quality nutrition and obtained an advanced certificate in Small Animal Nutrition in 2016.
I first heard of StreetVet in January 2018 when I was researching a way of providing vet care to the homeless living near me, having been inspired by spending time on a WVS project in Thailand that offered a free clinic to those who cared for the street animals but had no surplus income for vet expenses. The support I received from the core StreetVet team meant that StreetVet Plymouth was launched in March 2018 and has been operational ever since. In May 2023, after over five years of volunteering, I joined the Central team as a Case Co-Ordinator which means even more time to do the work I am passionate about!
I am very blessed to live in a beautiful part of the world with my family, two dogs and three cats so any spare time is spent outside as much as possible, regardless of the weather. Should a walk end somewhere that offers cream tea.. well, that is just perfect!

I am a veterinary nurse and have worked in the industry for many years. I live in rural Shropshire with my husband, three kids and menagerie.
I have worked all over the country and abroad, in referral and charity practices, through all of my experiences I have always been amazed to witness the incredible bonds between humans and animals. This lead me to volunteer for StreetVet in 2019 and now I work for the charity in the central team helping to keep pets with their humans and caring for their wellness.
In my spare time I love to be out playing with the kids and my animals, pretending in my kitchen to be on the Great British Bake off and exploring.
Meet the Board of Trustees
StreetVet strives to remain transparent so that supporters understand the work we do and where their donations go. In order to maintain the integrity and smooth running of StreetVet we have appointed a board of talented and experienced trustees. The trustees volunteer their time to guide and develop the charity into the future, ensuring funds are spent wisely and that animal and human welfare are at the forefront of all that we do.

Like many other vets, when I see a homeless person and their dog on the street I feel like I want to do something to try and help them. So, one evening in 2015, when I was still a student at Bristol vets school, I decided to go out with my stethoscope and check over any homeless people’s dogs that I came across. What stuck with me after meeting a few people that night was how happy and relieved they were when I told them that their dogs had a healthy sounding heart.
After graduating and moving back to London I decided to try and create a more sustainable and structured way to provide a veterinary service to these dogs. Together with Charlie and another colleague we visited many homeless people in North London with worming tablets and a bag of veterinary supplies. Soon after going out a few times in London, I met Jade in April 2017. Jade had been doing the same thing in Westminster, coincidently operating under the same name. That was when StreetVet was born! Since then we have been working together, assisted along the way by our amazing team of volunteers, to try to marry the passion and willingness of veterinary practitioners with the need for veterinary care for homeless people’s dogs.
With teamwork and collaboration, I think that it is entirely feasible to check over and treat every homeless person’s dog in the country and, in doing so, make a small difference to the lives of some of the country’s most vulnerable people.

A lifelong pet owner and former veterinary nurse, I am now a qualified, experienced business and consumer strategist and marketer having worked in the veterinary sector for over 30 years.
I am passionate about working with companies and charitable bodies who strive for human and animal health and welfare, that can change lives for the greater good of mankind and the environment.
I have known StreetVet and the great work that’s done by the team since the early years and am honoured to be working alongside people that hold the same strong health and welfare values as my own.

I come from a background of over 15 years in financial services and am currently a Managing Director at a leading investment bank where I am responsible for its European structured financing transactions. Suffice to say, I have no animal healthcare experience to bring to this table but thankfully the StreetVet team have an impressive team of volunteers who are responsible for the ‘real work’!
When I met the StreetVet team, I immediately loved the passion and energy they have and their ambition to work towards the “gold standard” in everything they do. Away from providing healthcare to street animals, they touch on some underserved causes which include improving homelessness and providing the veterinary community with an outlet to return to their grassroots of practicing healthcare free of commercial pressures.
I was blown away by how quickly the organisation has grown in a short space of time and am very excited to be a part of this incredible growth journey.

I am really proud to be a Trustee for StreetVet. The support that StreetVet provides is so valuable for so many people in need, and their animals. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand the bond that forms between a person and their animal, and the benefits that bond can bring to both.
In my professional life I am a leader in the Human Resources profession in central government. I have led HR teams in several different government departments. I am passionate about making organisations great places to work, by putting people first and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and find fulfilment at work.
I live in Norwich with my partner and my cat, Bella.

I'm delighted to join StreetVet as Governance Trustee and work with the team to support the provision of excellent frontline services to those in need. I have experienced firsthand the strength of the bond people have with their pets and the value it brings to both, which is why the work of StreetVet is so important to me.
An experienced Governance Manager, I currently work at a learned Society where I oversee both corporate and charity governance processes across the organization, including the management of key governance bodies, constitutional information, risk management and regulatory submissions.
I am excited to be part of such a fast-growing charity team and working together to achieve the best outcomes for the StreetVet community.

I have been really struck by the passion and drive of the StreetVet team and am proud to be a member of the board of trustees.
I am Director of Marketing and Fundraising for a young person’s mental health charity, leading a team with specialisms across digital, communications, community and corporate fundraising. I’ve held senior roles at charities big and small, national and local, and also work in a freelance capacity, providing marketing consultancy for clients across healthcare and entertainment. I am passionate about non-profit partnership work and integrated, person-centred approaches to supporting people (and pooches!) in need.
I live in Bristol with my cockapoo Luna, who is the most affectionate little friend I could hope for.

I have long admired the work of StreetVet and am delighted to now be one of the Trustees. The work of StreetVet is so important to support individuals and their pets who are experiencing homelessness and protect the human-animal bond by keeping pets together with their owners.
I hold an MSc in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law and have worked as a manager in the charity sector for 8 years and have plenty of experience of managing and working with volunteers. Prior to this, I worked in the education sector for 10 years as Head of Department for Animal Management at a Land-Based College. I am especially passionate about animal welfare, education, and community engagement.
On a personal note, I live in Wiltshire with my husband, our Jack Russell Terrier, Lily and our tabby cat, Mortimer.

StreetVet is an incredible organisation, celebrating and supporting the human-animal bond. As a lifelong animal lover and someone who's privileged to have shared my life with four-legged best friends, I want to put my years of experience in both the not-for-profit and public sectors to good use with an organisation whose values and goals mirror my own.
My skills and experience include leadership, strategy development, business growth, and fundraising along with understanding how the not-for-profit and public sectors work. It's an honour to have the opportunity to contribute to this great charity.

As a practising solicitor, who specialises in commercial contracts, intellectual property, and other business-related matters, my role as a trustee for StreetVet is very different from my profession.
At home, I have my own fluffy member of the family who brings much comfort and companionship. This is why I know that having a pet can be a critical lifeline for anyone, especially for those experiencing homelessness. Not only does everyone deserve to have this unconditional love and bond in their lives, but everyone also deserves to be able to have the support to help keep their companion well and healthy.
When I first heard about StreetVet, I was struck by the vital support that is provided by all of StreetVet's team and I was inspired to help. I'm thrilled to be a StreetVet trustee, and I'm very proud of what the charity is achieving. StreetVet makes such a positive contribution to a part of our society which is sadly too often overlooked.
I'm excited to be a part of StreetVet's journey to making such a difference in peoples' lives.
