Streetvet provides a completely free service to the homeless. In order to deliver this service we rely entirely on the generosity of the veterinary industry and the public, especially animal lovers and those who recognise the tremendous value of the human-animal bond. Below we have listed a few ways in which you can help us care for even more pets on the street.
Members of the public
- Does your own dog love a particular product? If you think the company that makes it may wish to donate items StreetVet can distribute to the homeless, why don’t you tell them about us? We’ve even drafted a short letter you can use here
- If you wish to donate something specific, please have a look at our Amazon Wish List.
- Cake sale queen? Coffee morning connoisseur? Marathon mad? Please keep StreetVet in mind next time you pick an organisation to support! You can even start a team fundraiser through our Golden Giving page.
Social care workers|organisations
StreetVet is only one part of the support homeless people and their pets need to survive on the streets. By partnering with other like-minded organisations, together we can deliver more effective help. If you provide services you think the owners we meet should know about, please let us know. Equally, if you would like our vets to visit your locations, please get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are based in any of our active cities, please also download one of our “information posters” to display wherever you think they might be seen by homeless owners.
Veterinary Professionals and animal care providers
“We have a growing database of vets and vet nurses across the UK who would like to get involved. Please do get in touch by emailing us (email@example.com) if you’d like to be added, and spread the word by displaying one of our practice posters in your place of work. We would expect to StreetVet to be a minimum of two hours a month (this can count towards CPD hours)”
We are only able to accept donations of veterinary medicinal products through wholesale-licensed retailers or directly from producers. If you fall into these categories and would like to support us, please do get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will, of course, be happy to acknowledge any contributions made!
