Hi, I'm Nicky and proud to be part of the team setting up Birmingham Streetvet. I qualified as an RVN in 1996, and have worked in a range of practices including charity practices in the Midlands area since then. I have more recently completed an advanced diploma in veterinary nursing, and attained a first class honours degree in Clinical Veterinary Nursing. I also train student nurses both in practice, and doing some lecturing in a local college. I have seen features on the Streetvet programme since its set up and always said if it sets up local to me I'd like to be involved - so here I am!! I'm looking forward to making a difference to pet owners who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances, and to meeting all the lovely dogs that I'll be treating.
Australian by birth. Living in the UK for 3 years now. Living in Birmingham.
I work in the Black country for a large privately owner clinic with multiple branches. I work mainly with cats, dog and rabbits. I am interested in dentistry, neurology. I enjoy working as a GP and doing lots of different interesting things.
Outside of work I enjoy playing the harmonica, keeping fit and learning new languages.
‘My name is Jayne and from a young age I loved all animals, growing up on a farm cultured this love even more. I have worked as a nursing assistant and then a Registered Veterinary Nurse for over 20 years now and I love the fact that I can be involved in such an exciting project such as StreetVet to help those in need in Birmingham.’
- SuzanneSuzanneMy name is Suzanne Wildman and I am a RVN and have been qualified for over 25 years. I no longer work in veterinary practice but am in the privileged position of teaching the next generation of veterinary nurses at a local college. Following on from the success of StreetVet in London, I contacted Jade to ask about the possibility of setting up in Birmingham. Since first hearing about StreetVet I have encouraged my students to fund raise for this amazing charity.
