In November 2018 Tim and Jordan decided to bring Streetvet to Gloucester.  After a few months of planning we were delighted to launch in March 2019 with a full team of 9 Vets and 13 Nurses. Working alongside Gloucester City Mission (who provide a lot of the needs for the homeless people of Gloucester) we are able to specifically help the animals of those people. Previously these people would have had difficulties accessing veterinary care.

Streevet Gloucester outreaches with weekend evenings, as well as weekly drop in clinics for our pet owners.  Together with treating any health problems, the team are able to provide the pets with food, vaccinations, flea & worm preventions, leads, coats and of course lots of attention and cuddles! We enjoy the regular contact with the owners as well as their pets which helps us get to know them and their needs. Even when the animals are in good health and may not be in need of any treatment on that visit, we are able to give adivce and build that trust.

We are lucky to have the support of SPA Vets, Wood Veterinary Centre, Teckels Rehoming and Boarding and Noah’s Ark Pet Care.  This support is crucial as all of our registered pets have to have access to emergency treatment 24/7.

We are constantly learning about the needs within the homeless community and the team are committed to helping in any way we can for the owner and their pets.

If you would like to help support Streetvet Gloucester and our patients’ needs, we would be very grateful. You can get to our wishlist here.

Thank you for all your support so far.
